I can't believe my little boys growing up. Preston will be turning 8 yrs old Oct. 27. He's getting baptized Nov. 1. Time has flown by way too fast!! This past weekend Preston and I went to Palmyra New York to visit some of the church history. I wanted Preston to know a little more about Joseph Smith and how important his decision is to get baptized. I also wanted to make sure he understood that we all have our agency. For some reason it was really important to me that he made his decision for him and not for Dave and me or for anyone else but himself. Preston is such an amazing, thoughtful, sweet, respectful and faithful boy. I'm so proud of him, and I hope he knows how much Dave and I love him!!! From the beginning I've been telling Preston that getting baptized was his choice and if he chose not to, Dave and I would support and love him. He would always have a quick answer of yes, I want to get baptized for myself. I know that Preston has a testimony of the gospel. He may not have a ton of knowledge yet, but he knows he wants to be a member of this church. I'm thankful for the opportunity to visit the Sacred Grove, the feeling within is the most amazing, peaceful feeling I've had! I took Preston there to help his testimony grow, but I can't believe how much my testimony grew in the process. Palmyra is a beautiful place to visit, and the alone time spent with Preston was priceless!!!

Well put, Kara. I am so glad that Preston was able to go to the Sacred Grove. What an amazing experience for him. We are so proud of his decision to be baptized. He is so handsome. He looks just like Dave in the first picture.
Thank you for that post! It made me cry reading it! I think of him and Kaden being baptised and I can't believe they are that old! You are such a good mom to take him there, what an amazing experience!
